olive grove tasting

Tasted in the place of production.

A sensory experience that goes beyond simple seasoning.

A psycho-physical regeneration, in small groups.

The contact with nature, breathing in its scents and listening to its sounds, speaking to it and touching it, observing beyond.

All the senses are involved in olive grove tasting, you just need to know how to listen and let go.

Organized upon request for promotion or knowledge, themed events where the Romani Olearia organic extra virgin olive oil will accompany poetry readings, refined music, artistic moments, culinary experiences, meetings, and brainstorming.

living in Montemagno

It is not uncommon to meet artists who draw inspiration from the light, colors of the landscape, air, sounds, and sights.

Immersed among the olive groves, the ancient village “dozes alone on the Mounts of Calci.” Emanuele Repetti, in his Geographical-Physical Dictionary of Tuscany (1833-1843), describes it as follows: “Monte Magno, or Montemagno Pisano, resides on the western slope of Mount Verruca, in an elevated and delightful valley, with a theatrical perspective, pure air, and many olive groves, chestnut trees, and pine forests that adorn its surroundings.”

The small village is part of trails dedicated to walks, hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking.

The highlights of Montemagno are: the Church of Santa Maria della Neve, which contains a precious wooden sculpture of the Madonna attributed to Andrea Pisano, and the Church of San Martino, where two altarpieces from the 18th century and an urn with the relics of San Coronato, the patron saint of Montemagno, are preserved.

At a 160-meter elevation, about an hour’s walk away, you will reach the majestic Chartreuse of Pisa in Calci, a vast monumental complex dating back to 1366, where you can visit the National Museum of the Monumental Chartreuse of Calci and the Museum of Natural History and Territory of the University of Pisa.

Here, wonder and enchantment blend with science, history, art, and nature.
